Plot: Although living a comfortable life in Salon-de-Provence, a charming town in the South of France, Julie has been feeling depressed for a while. To please her, Philippe Abrams, a post office administrator, her husband, tries to obtain a transfer to a seaside town, on the French Riviera, at any cost. The trouble is that he is caught red-handed while trying to scam an inspector. Philippe is immediately banished to the distant unheard of town of Bergues, in the Far North of France. Leaving his child and wife behind, the crucified man leaves for his frightening destination, a dreadfully cold place inhabited by hard-drinking, unemployed rednecks, speaking an incomprehensible dialect called Ch’ti. Philippe soon realizes that all these ideas were nothing but prejudices and that Bergues is not synonymous with hell…
Plot: The President of the United States is in Salamanca, Spain, about to address the city in a public square. We see a plain-clothes cop, his girlfriend with another man, a mother and child, an American tourist with a video camera, and a Secret Service agent newly returned from medical leave. Shots ring out and the President falls; a few minutes later, we hear a distant explosion, then a bomb goes off in the square. Those minutes are retold, several times, emphasizing different characters’ actions. Gradually, we discover who’s behind the plot. Is the Secret Service one step ahead, or have the President’s adversaries thought of everything?

Plot: Just before he’s to marry Fiona, Roderick Blank receives an anonymous e-mail with 101 names on it; Fiona’s is the 29th, the first 28 are women Rod has slept with, and the 30th turns out to be the stripper at his bachelor party. The notion that he will have sex with 70 more people sends Rod into crisis mode, especially after three odd men in an aseptic office confirm that a celestial machine has made an error. They suggest destroying the list, but Rod finds that easier said than done. Working his way through it consumes him, plus he realizes that death may await him after #101. Meanwhile, a femme fatale nicknamed Death Nell is putting men into a coma. Are they fated to meet?

Plot: Three naïve guys, in their 20s, drive from Illinois to LA. A sleazy real-estate agent gives them a great deal on a house in the Hollywood Hills. The night they arrive, a solitary Mexican, who speaks only Spanish, tries to warn them that the place is possessed by Satan. They don’t understand him, move in, and plan a party after they meet Lucy, their gorgeous neighbor from down the hill. An old friend of theirs, studying to be a priest, joins them. In the basement is a portal to Hell, so at the party, guests meet their end in various ways. Lucy and her friends may not be who the lads think. Is there any hope for these innocents? Maybe their neutered dog can help.
Plot: In Los Angeles, Henry is a veterinarian whose fiancée Kate dies in an accident on the day they’re to marry. Worried that Henry has closed off his social life, his sister suggests he use a psychic to contact Kate, lay to rest unresolved feelings, and live more fully. He tries it, though he doesn’t believe in it. Nothing happens, so his sister gives Ashley, the psychic, Kate’s diary. Now she’s able to convince Henry she’s in contact with Kate and start the therapy. Two things happen: they find themselves attracted to each other, and Kate’s ghost, who also has some unresolved issues, returns to stop this budding romance.
Plot: The violinist Sydney Wells has been accidentally blinded by her sister Helen since she was five years old. She submits to a surgery of cornea transplantation, and while recovering from the operation, she realizes that she is seeing dead people. With the support of Dr. Paul Faulkner, Sidney finds who the donor of her eyes was and they travel to Los Llanos in Mexico to resolve the mystery of her visions.
